![]() New Shop Progress Report - December 12, 2008 What the weather has done to disrupt progress has been more than made up for by great crews from Kenkor, Pegg Construction, Sepoy Wiring, Hometown Construction and Stonetown Masonry working diligently to get the shop ready for occupancy. I do not know how they can work when it is so cold inside and out. Sepoy Wiring has the electrical rough-in complete so we can close in the walls. It was nice to have Ross' son, Cam Moffat, working on the project. Rod recommended I-Beam fluorescent lights for the shop as an energy efficient solution and we look forward to seeing how they work ![]() Kenkor has been following right behind with the metal inside the heated shops and it looks great. ![]() Pegg's have completed the metal siding on most of the building exterior and have doors and windows installed. Soon the locks will be in place and the building closed in. The garage doors from J & M in Wroxeter are amazing, letting the light through so you are able to see during the day without lights. ![]() Steve MacPherson's crew from Hometown Construction have framed the walls and second story in the front office area and are starting to drywall. Dan Nairn is working with Rob to lay the Wiarton ledgerock around the main entrance. Drayson Nairn is helping while learning the trade on a school co-op term. And of course Chris Clark is busy keeping the site cleaned up when he comes in after school. It is exciting now that the shop is coming together and we look forward to being able to serve you better when we have room to work efficiently. Unfortunately we still have a few more months of work to finish but I'm sure the time will fly by. |
